October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, celebrating the women (and men) who have been affected by the disease and raising consciousness of the cause. To support, one of our favorite healthy eateries has pledged to beet breast cancer. Yes, beet

The Butcher's Daughter, a self-proclaimed "vegetable slaughterhouse" and trendy brunch restaurant in New York City and Los Angeles, has launched a #beetbreastcancer latte. In a gorgeous, pink hue, they've crafted a matcha latte-like drink using beets. The result is a creamy, vegan beverage with the most Instagram-worthy presentation.

In addition, one hundred percent the of proceeds derived from the drink will be donated to Pink Hope, a preventative health hub that provides necessary tools to assess, manage and reduce your risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

From Angelina Jolie's medical choice in 2013 to this year's various initiatives, BRCA gene status and decisions related to being at-risk have become more present in media and everyday conversation. BRCA1 and BRCA2 (pronunced bra-ka), that are the best known links to breast cancer risk, and on average, one in eight women will develop breast cancer over the course of her life in America. We hope you've taken notice.

On Pink Hope's website, you can take a quick, questionnaire to determine your personal risk.

The #beetbreastcancer latte is available at all four The Butcher's Daughter locations through November 15th, and is dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan.
